FREENHS Business Continuity Seminar
When: Tuesday 2 June 2009
Where: BSI Head Office, 389 Chiswick High Road, London W4 4AL

Business Continuity within the NHS is fast becoming a hot topic for NHS organisations as the impact of both the terms of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the Department of Health’s NHS Resilience Project takes hold.

Finding the right strategy for the NHS to adopt to implement business continuity best practice is essential. The Department of Health is keen to develop this in order to deliver collective resilience to the healthcare system and to identify a cohesive approach that will fit with the needs of the NHS.

Knowing where to begin on the business continuity journey can be daunting so why not come along to a free seminar hosted by British Standards Institution in association with Blackmores and hear how to go about embarking on the business continuity journey.

Learn about the Business Continuity Lifecycle and how your organisation will work through a process to unlock what the key services are for your business and what are most critical to you in the event of an incident or disruption. Consider how public perception, community needs and staff welfare all fit within the business continuity equation and how best to produce business continuity plans to help minimise the impact of an incident.

The seminar is designed to educate NHS organisations on how achieving certification to BS25999 can help address the complexities and challenges involved in operating a business focused on serving the health needs of individuals, protecting the environment and ensuring continuity in the event of the unexpected.

With guest speakers from the Department of Health and NHS, as well as BSI Management Systems and Blackmores, the event is taking place at BSI Head Office, 389 Chiswick High Road, London W4 4AL on Tuesday 2 June 2009.
